NEXUS is the newest pole dancing competition based in Melbourne, catering to amateur, semi-professional and professional competitors.

Founded and organized by industry professionals Lorisa Barraza, the 2024 MPDA Chilli Rox Showgirl, and Miss Filly, a 6X National Champion and Pole Icon Winner 2023, NEXUS offers an unparalleled competition experience.

Both founders bring extensive expertise, having competed and judged in numerous events, ensuring an exceptional and professional atmosphere.

At NEXUS, our mission is to provide a premier platform for amateur, semi-professional and professional pole dancers of all genders to showcase their talent while creating a fun, supportive, and professional environment. We are dedicated to offering competitors personalized support throughout their journey, from routine development to stage performance, ensuring they have everything they need to succeed. With clear communication, promotional support, and a sense of community, we empower our competitors to shine both on and off the stage. As a competition run by experienced pole dancers, we understand the needs of our participants and strive to make the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Our event is designed to entertain, with high-energy performances, engaging MCs, and unforgettable opening shows that captivate both competitors and audiences alike. At NEXUS, we are committed to fairness, fun, and financial sustainability. Our unique judging system and cash-back promotions ensure competitors are rewarded based on their performance, and our goal is to build an event that remains both exciting for participants and profitable to support continued growth. WHO CAN ENTER?

Nexus Pole Competition is open to all genders in all divisions

NEXUS is open to national and international competitors

​

You must be 18+ to enter 

​

NEXUS is a solo performance competition

ENTRY FEE

All competitors are required to pay a $30 entry fee prior to submitting their application form 

COMPETITOR FEE

If successful, competitors must pay the $35 competitor fee to compete at NEXUS

STAGING

2 brass X Poles with static pole stage right and spin pole stage left

Approximately 2.5M between poles

​

PROPS AND COSTUME

Competitors must gain pre prop approval from organisers by the due date (announced in your competitor information pack should you be successful)

​

Props must be able to be transported on and off stage in under 2 minutes

​

Human Props are not permitted 

​

A video projector is not provided by the venue so please consider this when creating your shows 

​

Any kind of footwear is permitted including barefoot, socks, heels, boots etc. 

​

Competitors may utilise clothing removal as part of their show however no G-Strings are permitted. 

​

Competitors may use pasties as long as something else is covering e.g. mesh.
